Modern Chinese music is surprisingly very similar to the music we listen to in England. Much of what we listen to is the same in China so soft rock, rock and dance music is incorporated in the modern and popular music of China. Even though, lots of Chinese music is similar to that of ours, many of their traditions still hang around in their music. The traditional instruments of China, such as the two stringed viola, are still used alongside some of those most popular instruments used in England and America. The mixing of western and chinese instruments creates a good mix, and creates a very Chinese sound.
